Karen Kaufman

Karen Kaufman has been an active participant in Jay’s law firm for over 28 years.  Serving as receptionist, secretary and now business manager, Karen is the communication link between our firm and our clients and colleagues.  Focusing on marketing and external contacts, she is in charge of all the seminars given by the firm, making sure every detail makes our clients and colleagues feel welcomed and comfortable in our office.  Karen is also in charge of all back office functions, handling our vendors and filling in when an extra hand is needed to complete a client’s work to everyone’s satisfaction.

Karen has a B.S. in Education from Illinois State University, and taught special education for seven years before joining Jay’s staff.  Karen and Jay have been married for 33 years (yes, even through working in the same office), and are the parents of Jeff and Sarah.
